We are considering going to Warren County, OH this year. Why? Well check out all the fun things we can easily do while there!
Home to Kings Island, The Beach, and Great Wolf Lodge, all within one mile of each other, it’s easy to see why Warren County is known as Ohio’s Largest Playground. Kings Island has more than 100 rides, shows and attractions and an award-winning kids area. Plus visitors get super-soaking fun at Soak City Waterpark, a 15-acre water park, included with Kings Island admission. Right next door, Great Wolf Lodge’s 79,000 square-foot indoor waterpark is always a comfortable 84 degrees. Just around the corner is The Beach waterpark, which underwent $5 million in renovations in 2013.
Kings Island announced on August 19th a major expansion to its Soak City Waterpark for the 2016 season with the addition of Tropical Plunge, a complex of six different water slide experiences towering nearly seven stories.
Three of the slides on the 65-foot tall complex will start with guests climbing inside an Aqua-Launch chamber where they will wait anxiously for the floor to drop out from underneath their feet, sending them into a high-speed, almost vertical free fall through a series of flat loops and S-curves in a translucent flume.
Tropical Plunge also features a slide that will send riders twisting and spiraling through an enclosed chute featuring four intense 360-degree loops across 449 feet of slide before they’re released out into a pool of water and dueling 337-foot long tube slides that zip riders through an enchanting series of drops and turns.
Year after year, the best thrills the world has to offer are at Kings Island. Year after year, the best thrills keep getting better. Speed junkies can get their fix on Banshee – the longest inverted roller coaster in the world. Challenge The Beast – the longest wooden roller coaster in the world – and Diamondback. There’s also The Bat, Drop Tower, Delirium, Flight of Fear, Invertigo, The Racer and Vortex. The thrills never seem to end at Kings Island.
