I don’t always have to go to the pharmacy since there are a lot of options for delivery, drive-thru, and having a friend pick up my medicine. Patty at my local pharmacy makes me love to visit the pharmacy because she is so friendly, helpful, and always remembers my name. What more can I ask for from a Pharmacist?!
I can always ask questions no matter what they are because Patty really makes me feel like a friend. If I have questions about my medicine like lipitor or others she is honest and can tell me if it is a side effect or something else I have going on. Plus they have several coupons available like the advair diskus coupon 2018 that I found recently.
While I am there I can get some of my shopping done. Most pharmacies carries supplies like drinks, can goods, cereal, snacks, milk, shampoo, greeting cards, and even gift cards. They have a lot more so if you have to pick up a prescription and need batteries using the pharmacy saves me a trip.
There are even large stores with pharmacies so you can do your regular grocery shopping and get your prescriptions without making extra stops. Drop off your prescription you just received from the doctor and it will be ready before you are done with your grocery list.
The pharmacist have a chance to get to know you better and how you prefer to have things done. They also understanding better than most people how the medicine works together with other things and can tell you what you need to do if certain reactions happen.
They keep your allergy list and can contact your doctor if they see an issue with medicine you are prescribed. You can look up medicine on WebMD or another reputable site, but the long language and words can make it hard to understand. The pharmacist can explain anything you need to know in easy to understand terms. If you have questions they can answer them for you immediately. Plus you can call them when you have questions or problems when taking a new medicine.
Most pharmacies give shots now, so you can get your flu shot to stay healthier during flu season. They can also tell you what is best for your cough or minor ailment. I cannot tell you how many times I would have purchases the wrong medicine for my cough and cold during the winter, if it wasn’t for Patty. She also tells me if over the counter medicines or vitamins will react with my current medications I take. This makes me feel much safer when getting everything in the same place too!
Many pharmacies provide services such as emergency hormonal contraceptive service, smoking cessation services, blood pressure monitoring, cholesterol measurement, diabetes management and more. Since they have taken the time to get to know me they will know what will be the most important to me without taking a lot of their time, so I do not feel bad when I need them to do this.
As you can see I love to visit the pharmacy and I have a million reason why. Check out your local pharmacy and see what help they have for you too! I bet you have a “Patty” there also!
