This is such a unique book and kids of all ages love it. You can use the viewer to find different things on each page. The viewer is inside the pocket on the inside cover page. You can find daytime animals with the red lens. The green lens shows you their habitat. The black will show nighttime and twilight animals.
I have never seen a book like this before, adults and kids will love this book.
On the inside it explains how to use the specials lens. You will discover different facts about every habitat. Also see which animals you can spot from the observation deck pages.
Visit lots of places such as The Congo Rain Forest, The Andes Mountains, The Apo Reef, East Siberian Taiga, or The Redwood Forest and more!! What a great opportunity to get children interested in the different areas and wanting to learn more.
Each area has an introduction to the area, telling you things like the continent it is in, countries, habitats, size, and who or should I say what lives there. You will know what you are looking for. It goes into details about each animal you will find and what they look l like. They tell you what lens to use to find the on the observation deck pages. This is a wonderful book to give kids just enough information to make them want to learn more.
Illuminature is a book for exploring a hidden world to the fullest. The book come is a hardcover large, approximately 11 1/4 X 13 5/8 inches and is full of double page spreads that represent different habitats. On the same page are animals that come out at day and at night, as well as the fauna that they inhabit. However, to the naked eye it is all a blur. You must use the included lens set that picks up the individual elements; Red for the day, Green for the fauna and Purple for the night.
Rachel Williams is the award-winning author of Atlas of Adventures. She lives and works in London.Milan-based design duo CARNOVSKY was started by Silvia Quintanilla and Francesco Rugi in 2007. They have gained wide recognition for their RGB project, first displayed in 2010. This would be a great book for a fun and learning family night. Great for a table in the living room for visitors, or in a doctor’s office while you wait. The dark lens is hard to see through so make for sure you are in a lot of light.
