Kirkwood Inn Is So Much More Than A Motel!
We have stayed at large resorts down to small roadside motels and I can tell you the Kirkwood Inn is on the top of our list for the best places we have ever stayed! Yes the rooms are super clean and they have a pool the kids love, but the grounds around Kirkwood Inn are outstanding. I could sit in several areas and feel the stress leave me just by enjoying the view! We arrived late on the first night, so we really had no clue how close we were to everything we needed. It was amazingly quiet and relaxing!
You can enjoy special areas, perfectly manicured and overseen by the owners, that are on the premises almost 24 hours a day!
They have a beautiful trail to walk alone or with other family members. At the beginning is lots of flowers and greenery.
It is so beautiful and you can find new things each time you walk through it.
At the end of the garden are some trails to wander through that the kids would enjoy! Once you start walking through you would never guess that you are less than 3 miles from Kings Island, and within a couple of miles of shopping and restaurants.
Let me go over some important items about Kirkwood Inn. This pool is 10 feet deep, they have chairs, loungers, and tables all around so anyone can sit and relax while the kids have fun!
The beds are super comfortable and this chair was my husband’s favorite spot in the room! The beds are queen beds, not double like most motels, so we had lots of room. Kirkwood Inn offers 3 different types of rooms, single, double, and the Jacuzzi-Fireplace Suite.
Wi-fi is included so the desk came in perfect for me. The television was used a lot by hubby and the kids. Then the Keurig coffee maker and the refrigerator gives you plenty of top space to use for goodies for the kids.
The sink and counter are on the outside of the shower and toilet so it gives you more room. As you can see the counter is huge and easily fit all 4 of our personal things we needed and still had room left.
The picnic table sits over a quiet perfectly landscaped hill that leads into the woods. The bench is great to sit on the outside of the room.
How about breakfast, served in Historic Kirkwood Inn that was built in 1799!? Cloth tablecloths, and more food choices than anyone can eat!
Hot and cold of many varieties. Eggs, bacon, ham, or sausage, sausage gravy, cereal, donuts, and so much more. We all really enjoyed the breakfast every morning!
This is the very friendly young lady that will help with anything you need.
Here are some pictures of the downstairs dining room. Guests experience unprecedented historical surroundings when dining in a fully restored, two-story, colonial farmhouse where Congressman Henry Clay and other politicians stayed throughout the 1800s.
This is the upstairs that you can eat in. The model of the house is very accurate and beautifully done. There are all sorts of things to look through in the china cabinets and other places in this home.
This is what you see when you pull up. Kirkwood Inn is easy to find and the GPS took us right to it.
Here is a sitting area just outside and to the right of the front door. Again just beautiful!
Here is another sitting area outside the back door of the main lobby. The attention these owners have to this property is amazing and so wonderful to experience.
Here is the parking area on our side of the motel. There is also parking on the other side and that is where the pool is. Behind me, in the picture, is where the historic home is and the gardens.
A few more images from the garden and sitting area.
We all really enjoyed our stay and will stay again when in the area! Below are all my pictures on a video to make it easier to see them.
