Betty is going to love this for her kitchen. Now that she is talking more and going to preschool this is going to help her so much in learning the letters, this set is brilliant. I wish I would have thought of it and why hasn’t someone until now?? The tops come off the cans so they can hide things inside. Super nice set of grocery for the little people’s kitchens. This product makes it more fun and interactive. The colors are bright and are the perfect size to fit in the toddler sized grocery carts. Fill their kitchen up with things for learning without them even noticing.
The A to Z Alphabet Groceries set packs lots of language learning in these fun cans, jars, and boxes! Each food item is identified with a letter, food that starts with that letter, and a picture representing that food. This helps children learn the letter and associate a word with it. When they say it out loud, they can hear the sound or sounds each letter makes. Some of the foods are common to children, like crackers and noodles, while others, like egg rolls and zucchini, may be new to them, increasing words in their repertoire.
Use your A to Z Alphabet Groceries to create fun games that will help kids learn (even though they think they’re just playing). Have children set up a grocery story by placing the foods in alphabetical order. Or sort them by food groups, container shapes, or colors.
Kids can enhance their language skills through interactive play. Play with your child and ask for a certain food. This helps children scan the foods they have and identify, by the letter, word, or picture, the food you want. Give children clues, like ‘I would like a food that is in a blue box, is cold, and you keep it in the freezer.’ This helps children process the clues, use deductive reasoning, and decipher your ‘riddle.’ This directly impacts children’s working memory — their ability to remember visual and auditory information long enough to use it.
I received this to give my honest opinion.
