This Rubik’s Cube is bigger, better and more mind-boggling. Building on the classic 3×3″ cube, this large model is 4×4″ and requires some fun new twists and turns. Includes instruction booklet. The 4×4 requires different moves to solve than the original 3×3, and it’s more challenging.
The Rubik’s 4×4, earlier called Rubik’s Revenge, is 56 pieces: 24 center pieces, 24 edge pieces, and 8 corner pieces. Although that’s 30 pieces more than the 3×3’s 26 peices, the 4×4 is actually easier!
The reason for this is that the mechanic of the 4×4 leads to an intrinsic mechanical solution that any fan who has solved the 3×3 would enjoy, and easily discover. I believe it is also more educational for younger minds, maybe 7 and up.
An expansion on the 3x3x3 cube, this is a whole different dynamic in solving algorithms. just because you can do three doesn’t mean you can do this! But, once you figure out your meathod it isn’t super hard.
The Rubik’s Cube 4X4 can provide hours of endless entertainment, and also frustration.
